ABOUT US

Interfaith Ministers of New England is a group for interfaith ministers and chaplains who stay connected, share ministerial needs, experiences and resources.

Interfaith ministers have either finished a two-year interfaith ordination program where they have studied all the world's religious and spiritual traditions, practicing chaplain/ministerial skills, or have been ordained in a more traditional church, but found they were called to the interfaith perspective and underwent further study of the world’s religions.

Many of our members have gone on to further training, obtaining a Master or Doctor’s Degree in Divinity or Theology; completing units for Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE’s or CPI’s); training to be a death doula, or training in Spiritual Direction.

Members of IMNE can be found throughout New England. Some have ministries within hospitals, others within their communities. Some of our members have moved out of New England and now practice in other states.

We come together twice a year for retreats during which we participate in various workshops and activities to help us grow as ministers and chaplains.
